How we got here:

My dad (Jimmy) wanted to retire, so he found a little ice cream parlor in Grand Haven, Michigan. He came here during the Coast Guard festival and thought it was amazing, so he moved here and opened up his shop in April 1993. One year later he decided to open up another resturant in Holland. In 1996 Jimmy passed away, but his two sons, Teddy and Peter, succeeded him and now own the two stores separately. Teddy owns the Grand Haven store while Peter owns the Holland one.

How we got our name:

Jimmy wanted to call the resturant Mr. Kojak's, after the Greek detective played by Telly Savalas. However the royalties to use his name were too much, and Jimmy's accent made the name sound more like Mr. Kozaks, so the name was changed.
